Best Singalongs?
So on my ride in this morning, the great American Pie came on. After I got done singing every word, I started thinking "What are the best sing along songs?" Then a live version Desperado (Eagles) came on. Again, every word. So here's the beginnings of a list, help me fill it out.
These aren't necessarily "driving songs" ... but just songs you love singing along to, that everyone loves singing along to (so kitch 80s poptart stuff doesn't count, Mel :P ), and for now let's stick to rock (no rap for this list).

hmmm... I'm going to have to add (in no particular order)
1) just about any Beatles song
2) the chorus to Blister in the Sun (Violent Femmes)
3) Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison)
4) A girly one: Closer to Fine (Indigo Girls)
5) A personal favorite: Sailing Away (Styx)
The rest fall in to the "I forgot. Elissa has terrible taste in music" category, so I'll spare you the details! But I'll keep thinking.

Excellent!! Yeah ... the Beatles one is tough to keep down to just a few, but I'd pick (and deliberately in order):
1. Yesterday
2. Imagine
3. Let It Be
4. Blackbird
5. Can't Buy Me Love
6. We Can Work It Out
It's tough, cuz it's not just "good song" or "sing along to the chorus", but rather "sing along the WHOLE song - especially alone in the car", at least that's the goal. (waiting for Tom Petty requests)

HMMMM....no 80's allowed, okay here's my list but i dont know all the artists...
1. i would say almost any billy joel is great to sing to
2. paradise by the dashboard light (meatloaf)
3. jack and diane
4. son of a preacher man
5. cats in the cradle
6. leaving on a jet plane
7. also, most dave matthews is good to sing too but i have a feelig that doenst qualify as "everyone" liking it
Either way - American Pie to me is the hands down best sing along!!!!!!!
